For over a year, we have been looking for a site to have our 2010 state rally in July. After visiting more that a dozen campground/conference centers, we have again chosen Bonita Park in Alto, NM (near Ruidoso) for our state rally. However, due to increases in costs, our visit there will be different than in the past.
We will have only six motel/lodging rooms available to us, and only four RV sites with full hook-ups. Our camp area will be below the cafeteria/office area in the "ballfield" section. RVs will be allowed there with no water. We should have electricity available for our camp area by July of next year. All activities (swimming, zip line, mud pit, etc) cost extra, so we are not going to make that available although you will have the opportunity to do so on an individual basis at a later time.
We may try to have different areas of our state (ie: Jim's area, Chuck's area, and Mike's area) do meals at the campground to help reduce expenses. Cafeteria costs are $7 for breakfast, $7.50 for lunch, and $8.50 for dinner. Arranging and counting numbers for each meal is a big headache and expense as well. So, we will figure that out and let you know what the plan is for meals at a later date.
The rally will be July 16, 17, and 18 of 2010. So please try to plan to attend. The more participation, the better.
